Allahabad High Court RO ARO CA 2026 Vacancy Details

The High Court has announced a total of 543 vacancies across three posts. Below is the complete post-wise vacancy breakup along with the pay level for each post. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per the High Court’s decision.

Note: Reservation applies to candidates who hold a domicile of Uttar Pradesh. Horizontal reservation also applies within each category, which is 20% for Women, 5% for Ex-Servicemen, 4% for the physically handicapped, 2% for Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and 1% for Sportspersons.

Age Limit (as of July 1, 2026)

Note: For RO and ARO, the candidate should not have been born before 2 July 1991 and not after 1 July 2005. For CA, the candidate should not have been born before 2 July 1991 and not after 1 July 2008. Age relaxation is 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, and DFF of UP, 5 years for skilled sportspersons of UP, 3 years for Ex-Servicemen of UP, and 15 years for Physically Handicapped candidates of UP.

Note: There is no negative marking at any stage. Stage 2 needs 50 out of 150 marks, and Stage 3 needs 25 out of 50 marks to qualify. The Stage 1 paper is set in both English and Hindi, and the English version is final if there is any difference between the two.

Selection Process

• The selection is done through a single recruitment examination held in three stages. Candidates must qualify for each stage on its own. The process is as follows.

• Stage 1 Preliminary Examination is held first in pen and paper OMR mode with no negative marking and no minimum qualifying marks
• Based on Stage 1 marks in order of merit, seven times the number of candidates against the vacancies in each category for each post are shortlisted for the next stages
• Stage 2 Mains Examination and Stage 3 Computer Knowledge Test are held on the same day in a single shift, with a gap of 20 minutes
• The final merit list is prepared on the combined marks of Stage 2 and Stage 3, which together carry 200 marks
• Biometric details such as a photograph, thumb impression, and IRIS are captured at the centre, and the final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness
• There is no interview for any of the three posts

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), and other allowances as applicable in the establishment of the High Court. The Review Officer post carries the highest pay level among the three, followed by the Assistant Review Officer and then the Computer Assistant.

Exam Centres
